[Gratitude] Yesterday Without a Headache Was Such a Blessing

I saw the news that Meta laid off an enormous number of people working in data-related roles. In a market this brutal — where landing a job, holding one, or switching to another is so hard — I’m deeply grateful that I get a steady paycheck, walk out the door on time, and still have pockets of time to chip away at my own business ideas. I think it’s that very gratitude that pushes me to carry two or three people’s worth of work at my current company, to think harder about things, and to try to do better when I’m in the thick of it. People really do need to know how to be thankful.
Today a headache hung around for quite a long time. It made me feel an enormous gratitude for all the days I didn’t have one — the days I worked in good health and spent time with my family.
I’m looking forward to the weekend, to good hours with good neighbors. The weather lately has been lovely, and I’m just in a wonderful mood. And next month we’re heading abroad with the family again~
My wife has been on a serious lucky streak lately. Watching her pick up prize money and giveaways, and seeing how happy it makes her — I’m so grateful for it. When my wife is happy, our whole family ends up happy ^^
