Don’t be afraid of money
You never know where money is going to go, and you never know where it’s going to come from.
It can suddenly be needed.
You can suddenly find yourself with a little breathing room.
Things can suddenly turn urgent.
A tax refund lands out of nowhere.
A bonus arrives in exactly the amount you needed for that trip.
The car breaks down and an expense you never saw coming shows up at your door.
That’s exactly why you can’t let yourself be afraid of it, or be swept along by it.
That’s the hard-won lesson I carried out of the most difficult year of my life.
