Until 6 p.m. I’m running my business (the AI platform I operate inside the company),
on the commute home I’m running my business (lining up a weekend Kmong dev meeting, fielding lecture inquiries),
past 10 p.m. I’m running my business (generating / refining / hardening / validating quant trading strategies),
and at 4 in the morning I get up and run my business again (generating / refining / hardening / validating quant trading strategies).
The way I define [personal business]
is earning, on my own hours, in proportion to what I put in.
In other words — I’m already running a “business,” and I’m already earning “money” in proportion to what I do!
In the end, it comes down to perspective.
e.g. The work I do at the company — I just need to treat it the way I treat my own platform business.
So what? : If you treat every task like your own business, who has time to watch YouTube while running a business?
And it’s not just YouTube —
who can afford to waste hours sleeping in?
