A good line I came across in a book.
“Someone who quietly holds on to their own worth over the long haul.”
Anyone, at least once in their life, can spend a moment standing on an ice-covered mountaintop.
What matters is staying there.
To keep anything going, you have to repeat something every day, run into new things, wrestle with them, and press forward.
In other words: you’re standing on the summit, constantly slipping, scrabbling to climb back up—
but from a distance, it looks like you’re simply standing still.
No need to measure yourself against anyone else.
Climb [your own mountain] and stand there, [in your own style], for a long, long time.
That’s all it takes.
