How much longer do I have to wait
Isn’t it my turn yet to get something back
Haven’t I lived harder than anyone
Yesterday it all came pouring out — in front of my wife, and again on the phone with my mother.
- One job-application rejection email after another
- “Opportunities” that don’t really feel like opportunities
- A stock account that’s been bleeding for a year and a half now…
So I got up before dawn and turned to my books — listening to the voices of the wise, learning to see through their eyes.
Don’t send a duck to eagle school.
~ You have to accept that the world is full of ducks. Only when you carry the conviction and the bearing that you can succeed will you succeed in everything you do and rise high in life.
Chase happiness and it slips out of reach. But the moment you ‘become’ it, there it is, already with you.
~ I don’t believe the people who work hard and do everything right are the ones who end up making money and succeeding. If anything, it’s the other way around: whatever a successful person turns their hand to, they make money at it, and they make it work.
Success doesn’t come from fixating on what you’re getting right now — it comes from savoring what you discover along the journey of awakening. Just live your own life fully, in the way you yourself have chosen, and every day becomes a miracle, and a success far greater than anything you’ve known finds its way to you.
